Celebrating our little Sophie's first birthday was low key, but fun. The day began with various versions of the birthday song sung with gusto, through the telephone, all the way from South Africa. She loved the attention and has since discovered that there's more to life, after having been introduced to a delightful ingredient...sugar. She enjoyed every crumb of her birthday cake, licking the plate clean. Savannah beautifully decorated a cake for her sister's special day. What a clever girl.
Sophie was spoilt. Fiona gifted her such a generous amount of gorgeous clothing. She gathered it all up, held it close, allowing no-one to touch it and then lay on it all, hugging it tightly. Too funny!! She also got lots of shoes, a fluffy giraffe, and a Dutch lift the flap book. Thank you, all, for the messages, cards, prezzies and thoughts!
