34 Years Young

It's my boy's special day today. 34 reasons why I love him so:

1. he's tall, dark and oh so handsome

2. he is such a righteous guy
3. i love his laugh. it's hearty and cute

4. so playful and has a real little NAUGHTY face. savannah has inherited this same cute 'Brynny Boy' face. see below for proof

5. very driven and knows what he wants out of life. he loves a challenge
6. he loves me, treats me so well and always expects the best of me

7. he's a FANTASTIC father (see post on father's day for another list of reasons why i love him)

8. he's an achiever and a good one too--he's excelled on the sports field, in the classroom, and in his personal life


9. a good, confident driver. i feel safe with my man behind the wheel
10. is always happy to help someone out
11. strives for excellence daily and has a positive attitude. on the difficult days he tells me that some days are excellent, some days are good and today was a good day
12. he loves his Heavenly Father and strives to please Him in all he does. he served a devoted mission for our church

13. he's brave--even when there's blood, spiders, snakes, cockroaches or smells involved. the record cockroach kill stands at 8 big boys in one fell swoop with a beer box
14. he's physically and emotionally and mentally strong
15. takes the role as provider for our family seriously. he works hard for us
16. is a good friend

17. he's humble and gentle
18. follows his passions and lives life
19. was and is an excellent rugby player (before he decided to hang up his boots after a couple of nose breaks)--i was there when the ENT clicked his nose back into place without anaesthetic. told you he was brave

20. irons clothes beautifully
21. a keen fisherman--has lots of patience to wait and wait and sometimes wait even longer for that catch


22. is always happy to jump in and help me out when i'm having an off day. when i'm sick, he's so good at doting over me
23. gives me my space to grow and pursue my own interests
24. supports and encourages me in all i do
25. he's a camper. let's just say i'm quite open to the whole camping experience, BUT, his idea of the 'c' word is a little different to mine. when we were dating, he asked me if i liked camping and i told him yes. well he was fine about this answer until we got married and suggested a camping trip WITHOUT any gear. i quite simply stated there wasn't anything to camp with and from then on, it's been a joke that i am not a REAL camper and i led him on when we were dating by trying to impress him with my camping skills. REAL campers apparently, can go and ROUGH it without any gear:)
26. he has manners and is such a gentleman. i love that he speaks well, has a good command of the english language and is a spelling bee
27. he's as cool as a cucumber under pressure
28. he's fair in his dealings with others and is very respectful of peoples' differences
29. he's honest
30. he has a wonderful ability to see the best in others and tap in to their strengths
31. a keen mexican chef (that was the first meal he cooked for me--it was yummy)

32. he's a leader and does so with such charm. i love to watch the way he leads our little family
33. he's a real boy--loves cars, getting dirty, playing sports, watching sport, talking about sport, googling sport...

34. he's clever. he has a very good general knowledge
