Bryn's update

We were able to get some results back from blood tests this week. Kidney functioning has improved a bit since the last tests 10 days ago, but still have a ways to go before recovery is complete. The news was a little disappointing for Bryn as he's such an active person and couldn't be bothered with being sick! Where does anyone find the time to be sick anyway?! We have since learned that damaged kidneys aren't able to rid the body of toxins as efficiently as working ones, which in turn, explains the headaches and body fatigue. He feels strong after a couple of hours rest, but as soon as he's been up and about for half a day, he's down again. In time he'll get stronger and heal. We need to be patient. We need to be diligent about the vitamins, water and healthy food he consumes. Modern medicine is a wonderful blessing. We are grateful for the help he was able to get to kill the vicious bacterial poisoning, but the side effects from the medication have been a bitter 'pill' to swallow. We'll get there.
