Saturday is sleep-in day at our house. The girls look forward to running downstairs in their pyjamas to choose their Saturday junk breakfast (fruit loops or cherios). I love the slow, relaxing start to the day before chores and errands need to be done.
Yesterday, I spent the majority of my day in the kitchen, preparing desserts and cookies for various activities. One of Savannah's favourite stories at the moment is The Gingerbread Man, so, we baked gingerbread men and made sure they didn't leap out of the oven and run away when they were done. It was fun. I did have to reprimand Bryn a couple of times for stealing the yummy dough. Bryn played a bit of golf and then took the girls out for a golf lesson. We were invited by Elliott and Carrie Nelson for dinner on Saturday night and enjoyed scrumptious food and fun company. They are such wonderful hosts. We only left at 11:45pm. I felt the beginnings of flu as we left and hoped a good night's sleep would chase it away. Alas, it seems as if it's here to stay for a bit, but luckily there's no rushing around this week, as the girls have school holidays.
Church was wonderful and uplifting. We've spent our afternoon relaxing and taking it easy. Love doing that.

sounds nice and relaxing. haha, it made me laugh to hear the girls running downstairs to get frootloops on a saturday. Gavin was in the shop yesterday, and was so excited to see frootloops here. He's now hid them in the cupboard all to himself:)
