Road Trip (IV)

We arrived at our destination at 8pm. Rob and Amy had dinner waiting and jumped to help us set up camp in the dark. We woke to the sound of happy cousins at 6am and the excitement of 4 whole days of family fun.

We basically used the same recipe of fun each day. Awoke, ate Rob's yummy cooked breakfasts, dashed to the fabulously well stocked Spar on site, prepared egg mayonnaise, tuna mayonnaise and chicken salad rolls for lunch on the beach, sun creamed ourselves up with factor 50, locked up camp, piled in the car, turned up the music LOUD, paid some local men R20 to carry our beach stuff all the way onto the beach, set up gazebo and beach chairs and then headed for the warm 30 deg C ocean to swim, snorkel and sit in the bath temperature rock pools. We spent the evenings getting dinners sorted, children showered (not our favourite part of camping!), putting kids to bed and then settling down for the night around the games table. 37 deg C Sodwana days kept us swimming, taking cold showers fully clothed and vegging under our gazebos.

We welcomed in the new year at 9pm around a massive bonfire on the beach and then hit the sack. We had the time of our lives. Amy and Rob, you guys are fabulous. We love you and can't wait for the next trip. What will our theme song of 2012/2013 be?
