A Great Day

Project fish would be a better title for this post. Be prepared for lots of photos and videos of a fun fish project Bryn implemented on Saturday. I just couldn't pick and choose, it's all too precious. So here goes... Just for the record, Bryn was so absorbed with this lesson, that he had no idea I was secretly videoing events. He claims that he never would have eaten a morsel off the floor had he known that he was being videoed. Enjoy.

Yesterday was one of those fantastic family days. Bryn woke up wondering what he could teach his girls--the anatomy of a fish it was. Getting dressed and making beds took no time at all. A few hours later (after a visit to the gym too), they returned with a Red Mullet and big smiles. Bryn found a red mullet diagram on the internet and taught them the different parts of a fish. Then came the fun part--opening it up to see the insides! Bryn carefully filleted it, fried it, along with some yummy prawns and secret spices and voila, lunch was ready! Once we cleaned up the kitchen, we headed out to Wassenaar to swim, swim, swim and only left at closing time. A little bit of rugby and Walter's delicious steak rolls finished the day off perfectly! Oh wait, if that wasn't enough fun for one day, Bryn promised the girls 15 minutes of snuggle time while watching Shrek. The time? 11pm start, 11:15pm bed time. I crashed way before this.
