Week in Review

Savannah and Madison both starred in Fish Hoek Primary's outstanding production of Annie last night. The school's been buzzing with excitement for the last couple of weeks leading up to the show week. Both girls were orphans and have decided to audition for speaking and solo parts next year. Fish Hoek Primary has a very strong drama department. Amazing.

Bryn and I will be dressing up to the nines tonight, as we're off for an evening of glitz and glamour at Madame Zingara. We're going with 5 other couples. Photos to follow!

I had tea with my friend's mom this week and she said something which I've probably heard multiple times before, but it didn't have as much impact then as it did this week. She said something to the effect of, the past is gone. We have no guarantee of any future--in terms of, we don't know when we'll take our last breath. All we have right here, right now is the present moment. The one we're in now. But how often do we catch ourselves in the past--regretting, wanting to change things, cringing, crying, pining, toruring ourselves for choices made, wishing it didn't happen or the future?--hoping, trying to change, wishing. One's gone and one may never come. And by doing either or both of those, wastes that present moment.

Bryn has been invited to a golf day with Gary Player next month. Needless to say, we're off golf shopping. :)

Sophie and Bryn are at Pick n Pay doing the weekly food shop together. The girls LOVE shopping with their daddy, as they always seem to come home with their wishes of choclates, breakfast cereals, stickers and stationery granted! Have a lovely week. xx
