Camping Dutch Style

We have just unpacked the camping gear and settled for the evening. We had the best time with our great friends in Edam this weekend. We camped Dutch style: in a well equipped campground, close to a large lake, (well, actually, technically the sea--zuiderzee), clean toilets, a playground, as well as supermarkets. That made it much easier on us moms. The kids could roam free and we took off, Saturday morning, to buy meat and supplies for our dinner that night. I think the adults may have had more fun than the children this time. Us big girls stayed up until about 2am each night, laughing *hard* and getting into trouble from camp ground 'police', all because of Dave's magic stick. The adults even enjoyed a make shift Six Flags in the playground. Crazy! The big boys played like little boys and ramped off slides and belly flopped multiple times in an effort to catch a football. We played hard and snored hard...well some of us :)

What a FUN weekend! And we get to repeat in 2 weeks!
